Mr G.C. drank tea with us, in the evening Miss Alford and Mr.R.C. called to see us. We all went for a walk.

Mother, and Julia went to church, in the afternoon I and Julia went to church. Mr. H. Williams called to see grandma.
Mr George Coopers birthday, I went to church Mr Scot has preached at Wootton 2 years today. In 1856 the sacrament was administrated 6 times. There was 190 communicants this year, it was administrated 8 times and 226 communicants . Mr Scots text was from the 16th verse of the second chapter of Corinthians “Who is sufficient for these things”.
In the afternoon drank tea at Balams Farm, after tea Mrs Alford, Miss Alford, Nora and I went for a long walk, we called on Mrs H. Williams. I arrived home about quarter to 9 o’clock. Julia had gone part of the way home with Cousin William.
Olive Taylor was buried at Arreton, she was 14 years of age.
In the evening Mr.G.C. called in. Julia returned from Ryde about 8 o’clock
Mrs Rogers was buried at Wootton church this morning.
Mother and I went to Newport, saw cousin William, he came home with us. After tea Julia went to Ryde Harmonic concert
I went to church. In the afternoon Julia went to Littletown and drank tea at Balams Farm. Mr G.C. called to see her.

In the afternoon Mr.G.C called in to see us as he was going to Combley Farm. I went to Wootton church.
In the evening Julia and Miss Alford went to Wootton church, Captain Brown preached. Miss S. Brading, Miss J. Brading and Miss Lydia Cooper came as far as our house with them, after resting a short time, I and Julia went home with Miss Alford. About half passed 9 o’clock Mr.G.C, called on his return from Combley Farm.
Julia walked into Newport this afternoon and arrived home about 8 o’clock.
I and Annie went to Newport in the afternoon. Miss Alford came for Julia to go to a tea party, they spent a very pleasant evening and arrived home about half past 9 o’clock.
Lady Holmes was buried.
Julia and Annie went to church, in the afternoon Mrs Dennis drank tea with us.
In the evening I and Annie went part way home with her
