Ryde Harmonic concert was held at Ryde this evening, Mr J.G.G. invited Julia and I but we declined the invitation.

Tuesday 10th March 1857
Julia paid the sitting at the chapel, Miss Elizabeth Phillips and her sister was married at Ryde.
Monday 2nd March 1857
Mrs Dennis came from Ryde and drank tea with us, I drove the little girl home.
Julia walked with Mrs Dennis, we returned home about half past 8 o’clock.
Sunday 1st March 1857
In the morning we went to Wootton church.
In the afternoon, Julia and I went over to the opening of Cowes Chapel, Mr Bailey preached. We arrived home about 6 o’clock.
Cousin William and his little girl came to drink tea with grandma, William returned home about half past 8 o’clock but his little girl remained with us.
Friday 27th February 1857
Julia went to Newport, Cousin William sent us an invitation to go to the Ryde Philharmonic Concert, but we declined the invitation.
Saturday 14th February 1857
Julia received a valentine card.
In the afternoon she walked into Newport.
Friday 6th February 1857
Julia and I went to a musical service at the Town Hall, Ryde.
Mr.G.C. and Mr. J.G.G. came to meet us, we arrived home about quarter to 12 o’clock.
Monday 2nd February 1857
Julia went to Ryde and spent a day at William’s.
I walked to Shide and arrived home about 4 o’clock. Julia half past 7 o’clock.
Sunday 1st February 1857
Cousin William drank tea with grandma. I at Mr. Groundsell’s and Julia at Farmer Alford.
I arrived home about quarter to 9 o’clock. Julia and Mr. G.C. went part of the way home with William. Mr.G.C. gave me a piece of wood for my puzzle.
Sunday 25th January 1857
Julia and I went to Wootton Church.
Mr H. Williams called to see Grandma. In the evening I and Mr. J. Y. G went for a walk.
