I went to Wootton Church, Mr Lewdon preached a farewell sermon. In the afternoon I again went to Church.  In the evening, Mr.G.C. went to Ryde.

Julia walked into Newport.

I went to Newport. In the evening a slight thunder storm.

I went to Newport, in the afternoon I did a little gardening.

Tuesday 13th April 1858

I went to Newport. In the evening I went to the prayer meeting at Littletown. I enjoyed it very much. I arrived home about 9 o’clock.

Julia went to Wootton Bridge for some duck eggs. In the evening Mr. G. C,  Mr. G,  Mrs. and Miss Lydia Cooper called in we had a little practice but it did not sound so sweet as it generally does.

Mr G. C put a new cover to the well at Grandma’s farm. Repaired the mahogany table in our small room. In the evening Miss Ann Alford called to settle the bill of the tea and sugar had at the teaparty.
