Wootton Bridge 1857 -1859
March 22nd, 1857

Sunday 22nd March 1857

Cousin William and his two little daughters came to dine with grandma, they came about half passed 10 o’clock, so we all went to Wootton church.

In the evening Mrs Dennis also a Mrs Macreedy called for  William. They left about half passed 7 o’clock, the two little girls stayed with us.

We all went to church, in the evening to the chapel.

In the morning we went to Wootton church.

In the afternoon, Julia and I went over to the opening of Cowes Chapel, Mr Bailey preached. We arrived home about 6 o’clock.

Cousin William and his little girl came to drink tea with grandma, William returned home about half past 8 o’clock but his little girl remained with us.

We went to Wootton Church.

We went to church in the afternoon.

Fanny Hall drank tea with us.

In the evening we went to chapel.

Sunday 25th January 1857

Julia and I went to Wootton Church.

Mr H. Williams called to see Grandma. In the evening I and Mr. J. Y. G went for a walk.

January 4th, 1857

Sunday 4th January 1857

Julia and I went to Wootton Church. Mr Scot preached from the 21st verse of Mathew and the 18 and 19 verses.

Miss Hale And Mr J.G.G. drank tea with us. Cousin William came to see us in the evening and brought me some tunes to copy.

Julia went to chapel.
