In the afternoon Annie and I went to Wootton Bridge, we called at Mr. Coopers and Mrs Brading, then drank tea at Mrs Groundsells, we arrived home about quarter passed 6 o’clock.
William came to see grandma, Miss Alford and Miss Wall drank tea with us, William returned home about 7 o’clock.
I and Annie went to Newport in the afternoon. Miss Alford came for Julia to go to a tea party, they spent a very pleasant evening and arrived home about half past 9 o’clock. Lady Holmes was buried.
Good Friday We saw Wootton Band pass for Newbridge Tea Party. I and Annie went to Wootton Church. In the afternoon we went to Littletown tea party and arrived home about 9 o’clock.
Mr.W.Lowe left Wootton, Miss Alford drank tea with us.
Julia and Annie went to church, in the afternoon Mrs Dennis drank tea with us. In the evening I and Annie went part way home with her
Polling day for the county, Mr Clifford returned with a majority of 121
Mr Lydall buried today.
