29th Tuesday - Mother and I went to Newport. In the evening Julia and I went for a delightful walk.
30th Wednesday - I went to Newport. In the evening we a party of friends to drink tea spend the evening and supper with us, we spent a real merry evening. They departed about a 1/4 to 12 o'clock.
31st Thursday - Mr James Pittis departed this morning for London. Mr. Barnabus Linnington* departed this life yesterday afternoon. In the evening Julia and I went to post - I forgot to mention that we received an invitation this morning from Cousin William to attenf "Mass" next Sunday morning at the Catholic Chapel but being prior engaged we were oblidged to decline the invitation.
