1st Friday - Day of Circumsision I went to Wootton Church Mr Scot preached from the 90th Psalm and 12 verse. I spent a very happy day.
2nd Saturday - Mother and I went to Newport. Miss Ann Cooper left Wootton Bridge to go to Mrs. Yards to live as under house maid if I am not mistaken. On our return home from Newport I gathered a bunch of blackberries - Miss Matilda Shute departed this life today nearly suddenly, she was staying with Mr and Mrs Hollingsworth and family at Paris.
