... about 3 o’clock Julia and Mr. F.L. walked home to Wootton Villa but I remained at
Mr. Dore’s till evening we arrived home about 8 o’clock.
27th Monday – I went to Newport. Miss Dorcas Dore and Mr. J.H. called to see Julia.
In the evening Mr. W.W.D Mr. F.L. and Mr.H.I.L called in and spent a few hours with us.
28th Tuesday -
29th Wednesday – I and Mother went to Newport. In the evening Mr. W.W.D and Mr. F.L.
called in.
30th Thursday – Mr. J. Dennis draper married to Miss C.W. Yelf at Godshill.
31st Friday – I went to Newport. In the afternoon Mr. Thorne and Miss Thorne drank tea
with us. In the evening Mr. G.C W.W.D. and F.L. called in so that we spent a very happy
evening.
