1st Wednesday, - Julia went into Newport, heard that Mr. John Caplin of Ryde was buried yesterday at St. Pauls churchyard, he was only ill a few days. He has left a young widow and one child to lament his loss.

4th |Saturday, - I very ill indeed Julia went to Newport.
5th Sunday, - I very much better. In the afternoon Miss J. Brading and Mr. T Lillywhite drank tea with us. In the evening we went to Wootton Bridge Chapel.
6th Monday, - Julia went to Ryde, I went to Newport, Mr F. L. drank tea with us.
