8th Wednesday, - I went to Newport. In the evening Mr.F.L. and Mr W.W. D called in for a short chat.
9th Thursday, - A concert at Sandown.
10th Friday, - Mr.F.Lewis’ birthday 21 years of age. In the afternoon Mr.G.C. had a tooth extracted. In the evening Julia returned from Ryde, Mr.W.W.Dore and F.L. called in.
11th Saturday, - I went to Newport.
12th Sunday, - Julia went to Wootton Church. Mother came to see us. In the afternoon W.W. D and F.L. called in. In the evening we went part of the way home with mother.
13th Monday, - Julia very ill indeed.
14th Tuesday, - I washed the week’s clothes, Julia not able to get up till evening.
