22nd Sunday - Julia and I went to Wootton Church, the bride and bridegroom was there. In the afternoon Julia drank tea at Mr Brading’s and then went to the Free Wesleyan Chapel. Miss Alice Cooper drank tea with us.

23rd Monday -

24th Tuesday - Mother and I went to Newport. Mr Cooper repaired the door on one of grandmas tenements. In the evening we went for a walk, the weather was rather showery. We remained under a tree for shelter during the shower, and when it was over the scene was very grand. The trees had the appearance of silver for the moon shone very brigh and there was a rainbow, I enjoyed it very much indeed.
