... this life last Saturday at Godshill after a short illness, having left Palmers Farm only the Thursday before. Miss Jane Brading called to see us.

31st Wednesday, - Grandma’s birthday, we spent a very happy day.

April

1st Thursday, - Julia went to Newport, Miss Alford called in her fourwheel. Mr G.C. drank tea with us. In the evening Julia went to Mr. W. Hayles with the Tea and Sugar for the teaparty.

2nd Friday, - Good Friday. A very wet unpleasant day with the weather. I went to Wootton Church, heard a most delightful sermon. In the afternoon Mr.G.C. and Julia went to Littletown Teaparty. I and Grandma remained at home very happy.
