31st Monday - Rather unpleasant weather in and out of doors. In the evening we went to a "Gipsy Party" at Packsfield, I enjoyed myself very much. Mr. G. C came home with us.

September

8th Tuesday - A very wet day. In the afternoon I went to the "Lay Preacher Union" Teaparty at Littletown and I think I can with truth assert that I have not for a very long time, spent such a really happy time as I did at the meeting. In the evening it was really delightful, Mr. White from Newport was the Chairman.
